Our Mission
Garner Legacy Foundation, Inc. is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. Our specific purposes include hosting charitable fundraising events such as golf tournaments and youth camps; supporting athletic and educational programs through grants and in-kind donations; providing technology, facilities, and developmental support to university athletic programs; and promoting youth character and leadership development through community events and mentorship.

Why We Exist
For seven seasons in the NFL, Nathaniel “Nate” Garner lined up on the offensive line for the Miami Dolphins — a proving ground that demands discipline, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to your teammates. But long before he stepped onto an NFL field, Nate learned the values that would define his life from his father, a pastor, and from the coaches and mentors who invested in him as a young athlete growing up.
When his playing career ended, Nate didn’t step away from the game — he stepped into a new calling. As a coach at every level from high school to Division II, he saw firsthand how many young athletes lack the resources, mentorship, and opportunities they need to reach their potential. Under-resourced programs operate without basic equipment. Talented kids fall through the cracks because no one invests in their development off the field. Communities that need it most are often the last to receive support.
The Garner Legacy Foundation was born from a conviction that it doesn’t have to be this way. Nate founded GLF to bridge the gap — providing youth camps that teach more than just athletic skills, awarding grants to programs that can’t afford to compete on equal footing, and creating mentorship opportunities that develop young people into leaders of character and faith. The Foundation isn’t about building Nate’s legacy — it’s about building a legacy that belongs to every young athlete who discovers what they’re capable of when someone believes in them.
